Homestead Heart soap is made with the finest locally sourced all-natural oils and plant butters with pure plant essential oils, botanicals, and milk. Natural clays, spices, and botanicals are used for colouring and for their skin-loving properties. Artisan soap is an all-natural glycerine soap. Always check the ingredients list supplied with each soap bar for allergies.

Homestead Heart luxury artisan soap is handcrafted from scratch in small batches. Each soap is hand cut and hand wrapped with love and care. Recipes are developed for a variety of skin types and cleansing abilities.

Homestead Heart is not certified organic. We use both organic and non-organic oils and butters in the artisan soap. The oils and butters are of the highest quality. The extra virgin olive oil used is an award-winning local oil produced right here in our area. Botanicals, tea, and goat milk are sourced from our farm and local community farms.

Homestead Heart uses only pure essential oils for scenting. No artificial, standardized essential oils or fragrances are used as these would not produce the same aroma therapeutic benefits.

Homestead Heart Artisan soap is biodegradable with recyclable and/or compostable packaging. Soap is not tested on animals but is tested on family and friends. They are free from preservatives, parabens, petroleum, palm oil, and harmful chemicals. It is also important to remember that no soap, eco-friendly or not, should be used directly in rivers or lakes. Biodegradable soaps need soil to be broken down. Please note: we reuse and recycle used delivery boxes and packaging wherever possible.

A bar of Homestead Heart soap should last 3-4 weeks with average use. To extend the life of your soap, store unopened soap in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight until ready to use. After use, rinse and dry on a well-draining rack or soap dish.

All our payment options are safe and secure through Payfast, and include credit card, debit card, and instant EFT.

We ship everywhere within South Africa via Pudo. We ship worldwide as long as a valid delivery address and postal code is provided, using DHL express services. For shipping costs outside of South Africa, please contact us. We do not ship to P.O Boxes. Please email us for international shipping option.

We make use of Pudo, a division of The Courier Guy, locker to locker at a set rate of R100. For international delivery, please email us for a shipping quotation. Various import duties and taxes may be incurred on delivery to certain regions. We do not pay the duties that may be incurred in various regions, and they are paid in the country of destination.

We are located on a farm outside of Uniondale in the Klein Karoo region of South Africa. We dispatch orders on Tuesday and Thursday when I am in town. Delivery time depends on the area where the order is being sent. Orders are usually delivered within 2-3 working days once payment has been received. Once your order is with our courier company, you will receive a tracking number. If there is a delay to your order, please contact The Courier Guy with your tracking number and they will assist you with your order. Courier Guy also has a convenient online tracking facility. Regrettably, we will not be held responsible for any delivery or postage delays that arise from unsuspecting issues beyond our control, including but not limited to courier issues, postal strikes, incorrect addresses, and acts of God. Courier services may be delayed during lockdowns and holidays.

We hope that Homestead Heart products meet and exceed your expectations. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, please notify us within 7 (seven) days of receiving your goods. Please send your complaint with a picture of the unopened product to: inquiries@homesteadheart.co.za. We will offer a refund, exchange, or replacement on products returned, provided that they are in their original, unopened, unused, and undamaged condition. The shipping cost paid on your original order is non-refundable, and you are responsible for return shipping costs.
